The vibration is used to decrease the vibration of the machine while spinning. It records movenent on two axes (A or horizontal and Y or vertical) and sends the information to the main control board, wich adjusts the rotational speed and/or direction of the drum to reblance the load and reduce vibration, including the striking of harmonics within the structure of the building.

The vibration sensor is mounted on the top of the tub. It is connected by a pigtail which is clamped to the tub to provide strain relief.

The only test procedure available is to verify 5.0 VDC across terminals 1 and 3 of the pigtail with the machine turned on.

If the voltage is not present, check the wiring harness back to the main board.

If it checks out, verify there is 5.0 VDC present at the connection on the main board. (Verify against the schematic.) If the voltage is absentor incorrect, replace the main board.
