You can get the meter probes in to the correct wires more easily if you remove the protective strip along the wired end of the connector by prying up one end and then the other. Be sure to replace the strip when testing is complete. Note that the wires on the AC connector are larger (120 VAC) compared to the DC connector (5VDC and 12 VDC.)
